SO I HAVE A QUESTION FOR ANY OF YOU, I AM CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS ANYTHING TO SAY GOOD OR BAD ABOUT CHARTER SCHOOLS. THEY ARE BUILDING A NEW ONE OUT BY ME, AND ZACH HAS BEEN ACCEPTED TO IT, I AM JUST CURIOUS IF ANYONE HAS HAD ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THERE KIDS IN A CHARTER SCHOOL OR IF THEY KNOW OF ANYONE WHO HAS LIKED OR DISLIKED THEM.

I have no clue. There is one by us but we haven't tried to get Jaxon into it, and I don't know anyone that takes their kids there. You could ask Becky.

I don't really have any personal experience, but a friend of mine applied for a job at one by me when she had earned her teaching degree. She said she was the only one who had her teaching certification that applied. She also said that they hadn't yet decided on the corriculum they were using and it was Sept. Needless to say she didn't feel comfortable teaching there. But I have heard that some people love them, so I would definately research it.

Hey Lori- I don't know if you remember me or not, but my friend is the secretary at one and she had all 3 kids in there. She pulled out her oldest because her teacher didn't speak hardly any english. From her prospective, she said if she could do it again, she wouldn't put her kids in it the first year. There are too many quirks that need to be fixed. They also didn't have a cafeteria or school lunch for the first 2 months.
Too each her own. Just research it, and you have adorable kids.
*sorry, i was blog stalking and read your post so i wanted to respond.*

my sister teaches kindergarten at one in lehi and my others sister's kids go to it and they all love it. however, they both say some are really great and others aren't so much. definitely research it. i'd probably wait until the school's been around for a year or two so you can find out more about the curriculum and the teachers. i can have her find out about this new one if you want.

this is brent dalby's wife by the way!

I put Dakota in one this year and it was it's first year up and running. There have been a few hiccups, but I like the fact that he has a separate Spanish teacher that he goes to, an Art room with an Art teacher, Music class and they even have this awesome science lab. There are pro's and con's for sure.
